Lacey Glueckert, sole practitioner and owner of CRC, is North Dakota Licensed Addiction Counselor #1577 and has been licensed since 2007. Work experience includes experience as a residential technician at the ND State Hospital for 3 years prior to beginning her training as a Licensed Addiction Counselor from 2003-2006. She then became employed through South Central Human Service Center in Jamestown, ND from December 2006 through May 2008 with focus on Day Treatment and outpatient substance abuse services, utilizing a Solution Focused approach. May 2008 brought Lacey to Williston, ND and Mercy Recovery Center, a residential and outpatient substance abuse agency focusing on 12 step based traditions. Lacey then became employed at Northwest Human Service Center in Williston in August 2010 and continued there until March 2014. This is where she was given information on Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, eventually leading her to seek certification through the William Glasser Institute. Through various disempowering systemic experiences, Lacey found that becoming licensed as a private practice outpatient substance abuse provider allowed her to focus on Choice Theory education and Reality Therapy versus "the system" and that it also fulfilled her Freedom need more adequately. Choice Recovery Counseling was developed and became operational in November 2013, transitioning to Lacey's sole employment and passion in March 2014.
